Dinner [1/10/09]

Appetizer - Pan Seared Sea Scallops w/ Spinach [$15]; Fresh Bread and Butter [Complimentary]
Served: Oval iron pan lined with spinach topped with three extra large hand picked seas scallops. These scallops are picked by divers in the ocean and not farm grown. They were each embellished with with a small pea on top and had light butter cream sauce drizzled on top.

Main Course - 10oz. Filet Mignon with Garlic and Sauce [$39];
Served: Medium Rare w/ a Butter and Cheese Sauce. The outer part of the steak was lightly blackened but in a way that added to the flavor of the dish. It did not have any acrid burnt parts at all. The steak came as ordered and the center cut like butter. The flavor was absolutely divine when paired with the sauce. The sauce came in a small saucer on the plate and had a hint of some sort of cheese. Maybe blue cheese? There was also half of a garlic that had been roasted until well done. Being one of the most expensive steaks in the DC area, it is well worth its price. Once you have one there just isn't one that can ever compete with it.

Side Dish - Mashed Potatoes [$8];
Served: Medium square bowl heaped with fluffy mashed potatoes. They were light and whipped and garnished with some herbs for presentation. Mashed potatoes are a must with a delicious steak. Its great light side dish and alternative to fries.

Dessert - Creme Brulee Trio (Blackberry, Vanilla, Raspberry) [$6];
Served: Three small square bowls with their respective flavors. The blackberry and raspberry each had three berries that had been solidified inside the creme brulee and then a berry on top. The dessert was enough to feed at least three people and is well worth its price for both the quality and quantity.
